My name is Isabel Chapman. I trust you will be blessed as you browse through my website. I was called of God to give up my secular work in the insurance world, sell all that I owned, and go to the Philippines in 1979. My first mission was to the headhunting tribes of Kalinga Apayao, in the mountain regions of Northern Luzon.
The Great Commission (Mark 16: 15-18) was burning in my heart. As I preached the gospel of grace through faith in Christ’s ‘once for all’ perfect atonement for the sins of the world, people turned from false gods (religious idols) and were born again by the indwelling regenerating power of the Holy Ghost.
I cast out spirits of infirmity, laid my hands on the sick, prayed in tongues and God worked with me, confirming his Word with miraculous signs following.
Healing is a free provision of the atonement in Christ Jesus, received by grace through faith in the promises of God’s Word. The healing which Jesus’ stripes provided for us includes eternal life in a glorified immortal body in the coming world, as well as healing for our mortal bodies, in this life. By His stripes we were healed and delivered from the curse of the Law (1Ptr 2:24, Gal 3:13).
Our body is the temple of God. Therefore God desires that we walk in good health and glorify Him in our bodies. In Acts 10:38, we read that Jesus healed all who were oppressed of the devil. This reveals that sickness, disease and suffering are demon oppression. Jesus gave believers the power of attorney to use His name, to cast out oppressing spirits and to heal the sick, that the Father be glorified in the Son.
The Lord has also called me to proclaim and publish His second coming in the air. He will appear in resurrection power to raise the dead and ‘catch up’ or translate, living believer’s home to the heavenly city above. Then we will attend the Wedding Supper of the Lamb (1Thess 4: 16-18, Rev 19: 5-9)
